The Tanzania National Oceanographic Data Centre (TzNODC) provides several services to stakeholders such as follows:

• Provision of expert advise to stakeholders on various relevant issues. The TzNODC has a close working relationship with the local ICAM community

• In-house training on database management. The TzNODC hosts and provides pratical training to computer science students from the Department of Computer Science, Government Departments, NGOs and Projects

• Search and delivery of reference and/or data to stakeholders using the ODNIAFRICA and IODE network.

• Oceanographic data and information.

• Maps of coastal resources and marine protected areas of Tanzania and other oceanographic data products.

• Information about marine and coastal scientists in Tanzania.

• Metadata and inventories of its data and information holdings.

• Referral centre for other national and international oceanographic data and information centres.

• Link between scientists at local, regional and international level.
